Motorola's search for cellphone chief nearing end?
It's said that Greg Brown and the rest of the ragtag team at Moto are getting darned close to picking a head for its ailing cellphone division, with HP's Todd Bradley -- formerly of palmOne during its Treo glory days -- at the top of the short list. The list is actually really short, with only Bradley and one other unnamed telecom exec allegedly remaining. For what it's worth, Bradley has gone on record saying that he's happy where he is and isn't "planning on making any changes," but we're pretty sure that kind of talk is par for the course for anyone that hasn't sealed the deal on a new gig just yet.
Sprint posts Windows Mobile 6.1 update for Motorola Q9c
That's right, lucky Q9c owners on Sprint are among the very first in the world to get an official Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade. Feels good, doesn't it? Bask in the copy / paste functionality, threaded SMS, and Getting Started guide (which contains probably little to no information you didn't already know, you experienced user, you) while your friends are all still stuck at 6.0. Be sure to play it up; flash the messaging application at every opportunity in public situations, and just generally make them feel bad for having chosen a [insert device here] over your beloved Moto. It's okay to gloat a little at times like this, trust us.
